david is 12.he has been in the concentration camp since he was very young. on the second page, davis escapes.the latter sleeps in the day and runs the night.he takes a van to the city and goes the the harbour.if the has been in the camp for 5/6 of his life, how does he know how to read. we read italy on a ship had climbed aboard it.how did he know how to read it??the other prisoners? the man? no likely..he spoke to the man as llittle as possible but they dod not state thatthe boy had other friends except for johaness.who exactly is johaness? why is he unable to the speak to talk about him. all this questions remain unsolved until this book is finished. PS:the man left david bread,a bottle of water, a hankerchief and a compass. HOW?? the man did not leave the camp. if it was before the man had been caught wouldnt the bread turn mouldy or being eaten wouldnt the water evaporate?fascinating story of a young boy at a tender age of 12! fascinating. =\
